Modi says Congress busy digging his grave as he works for poor!

ADP Ananda News:Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway in Mandya and laid the foundation stone for the construction of the highway’s Mysuru-Kushalnagar section on Sunday.

The expressway, Modi said, will reduce travel time between the two cities to one and a half hours and boost economic growth and tourism in the region. “For a long time, those travelling between two cities used to complain of heavy traffic. But now due to the expressway, the journey will be completed in one and a half hours. In this entire area, economic growth will get a boost,” he said.

Noting that Bengaluru faced road connectivity challenges due to landslides in the rainy season from Bengaluru to the port city of Mangaluru, Modi said the extension of the Mysuru-Kushalnagar stretch of the highway would be of help. The project is expected to improve the alternative route connecting Mangaluru from the Karnataka capital.

“What is the Congress and its partners doing when the government is doing development work? The Congress is dreaming of digging Modi’s grave. They are busy digging Modi’s grave, whereas Modi is busy constructing Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway. They are busy digging Modi’s grave. Modi is busy working for the welfare of the poor,” he said.

Modi alleged that before 2014, the Congress government did not leave any stone unturned to hurt the poor. “The Congress government looted thousands of crores of rupees meant for the poor. The woes of a poor family do not make any difference to the Congress,” he said, adding that “a poor man’s government” was formed in the country under him.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said the construction of (peripheral) Ring Road at a cost of Rs 17,000 crore was being taken up. The project, expected to be completed by March next year, will further ease connectivity to Mysuru.

The new expressway will be connected to Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu via the Bandipur Tiger Reserve and Sulthan Bathery in Kerala, he said. On the Bengaluru-Chennai expressway, he said that bhumipujan was complete for two portions of the highway. This stretch will be completed by March next year and the entire expressway till Surat will be completed by December next year.
